"Look Good...Feel Better" Enhancement Program: Is intended to provide personal, one-on-one and/or group sessions through a safe environment and offer women who are in need (financially, physically and /or emotionally) due to the effects of cancer treatment, hats, scarves, turbans, wigs, accessories to care for wigs & the training and resources to use and care for these items.

Client Outcome Story:
Nenita Bala-Albano was in school at University of Hawaii at Manoa, John A Burns School of Medicine. She went to the doctor for a routine check-up when her doctor told her she had non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Nenita started her treatment in January. Chemotherapy made her look like she was sick. Her hair fell out, she had no eyelashes, her eye brows were gone, and her skin looked pasty and un-natural. When she looked at herself she didn't want to be reminded that she had cancer.
Nanita heard about American Cancer Society's Services. She signed up. She learned how to draw on her eye brows, put on a wig and turban. Put on makeup to make her skin look more natural. Nenita learned how to make herself look good and feel better about herself.
Nenita beat her cancer and got well. She finished medical school, and today is on the mainland doing her medical residency.
