Agency Mission Statement:
The Bridge House mission is to assist adults in early recovery from drug and alcohol addiction to develop successful living skills through residential and vocational experiences in a safe, structured and supporive environment.
Funded Program:
Vocational Skills Building: utilizes a holistic approach toward the substance abuse recovery process and recognizes the importance of assisting individuals to regain their place as responsible, productive citizens within our community. To this end, the VSB program ensures that all graduating residents are prepared to become either employed or in a job training program prior to discharge. The program provides assessment and remediation of vocational needs. The goal is to prepare individuals to enter/re-enter the workforce.By addressing these issues, we are able to prepare individuals to assume their position as valued employees, heads of households, and law-abiding citizens.
Client Outcome Story: "Brenda" entered Bridge House when she was 5 months pregnant. She had been an active 'ice' and poly-substance abuser for at least 2 eyars (even 'using' after becoming pregnant), and had already had 2 children reoved by CPS and placed in foster care. Brenda was able to address her addiction, as well as re-kindle her desire to be a responsible, protective parent. As a result, she was able to retain custody of her newborn. Shortly after graduation from our program she secured full-time employment, and soon after was able to re-gain custody of her other two children.
