Providing support and involvement for our community's young people, these programs foster healthy development through recreational activities, child abuse prevention and advocacy programs, providing a viable alternative to gangs, drugs, teen pregnancy and family dysfunction.

Hawaii Island United Way funds specific programs, not entire agencies.  By funding specific programs we can ensure that the money we give is being used effectively and for its intended purpose.

Results You Can See ...

  • Provided health and fitness programs to more than 9,000 children and teens who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to participate.
  • Provided substance abuse treatment to more than 250 adolescents at risk…supporting family members and improving lives.
  • Trained 30 teens to be peer counselors for at-risk children.
