The FRIENDS of the Children's Justice Center of East Hawaii is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that was formed by concerned community members in 1990 to help establish the Children's Justice Center and to support its programs.

Agency Mission Statement:
The mission of the FCJCEH is to help sexually, physically, emotionally, abused and neglected children. We do this in partnership with the Children's Justice Center of East Hawaii, by providing funds and resources to support the needs of these children. The Friends offer hope, encouragement, and opportunity for victims of child abuse.

Funded Program:
Emergency and Special Needs Program: The intent of the Emergency and Special Needs Program is to positively impact by decreasing family stress, improving the overall health and well-being of abused and neglected children, and to provide funds which will meet their emergency and special needs.

Client Outcome Story:
A sibling group of five (5) children are identified victims of threatened abuse and neglect. The family is homeless. Both parents are unemployed. A request was made to purchase sleeping bags, a tent, a large tarp, and hygiene products such as diapers, soap, shampoo, female pads, etc. Funds helped to decrease family stress and increase the physical health of all children.
