Agency Mission Statement:
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Funded Program:
Comprehensive Youth - Hawai`i Island: This is an informal educational program designed to help girls, ages 5-17, realize their potential, relate to others, develop values, and contribute to society. It is an island wide program, offered to girl scouts.

Client Outcome Story:
Girl Scout Troop 15 from Hilo participated in Lego Robotics competition in November 2008 at `Imiloa Astronomy Center. While building and programming their robot, the girls gained research, problem solving and engineering skills. They also developed teamwork and leadership skills while engaging in three keys to leadership; discover, connect, and take action.
