Funded Program
Volunteer Coordinator The “Fund for Humanity” is the financing mechanism that Habitat affiliates around the world, use to build homes. Each affiliate maintains its own fund and is responsible for raising the funds. All monies in the Fund are used for home building not administrative overhead. Mortgage payments – payments that are often lower that what families were paying in rent – go into a revolving “Fund for Humanity”. The Fund’s money will come from the new homeowners’ house payments, grants, donations and no-interest loans provided by supporters and money earned by fund-raising activities.
