Funded Program:
Camp Erin Hawaii: is a weekend overnight camp for kids and teens, ages 5-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Facilitated by professional staff and trained volunteers, Camp Erin is offered to families free of charge around the Big Island of Hawaii.
At Camp Erin, kids have the opportunity to be around other kids who have experienced similar losses. They participate in typical camp activities as well as activities designed to help them understand and process their grief.
Client Outcome Story: I have really opened up more with my feelings and recognized how much I have held in my grief for the last 11/2 years. I cannot tell you enough how grateful I am to have had this experience to learn more about the process of grieving and relating to others. This is an amazing healing process and I totally support this program through Hospice. *THANK YOU*
