Agency Mission Statement:
The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii's mission is to achieve fairness and justice through legal advocacy, outreach, and education for those in need.
 
Funded Program:
Domestic Violence Program: The program's intent is to solve legal problems of victims of domestic violence and to promote safety and stability of victims and their families.
 

Client Outcome Story: Client came to Legal Aid in Kona after being beaten by her husband, in front of their young daughter. Husband threatened the child's life during the episode. Legal Aid helped Client get a Protective Order against Husband. Legal Aid then assisted Client to get a divorce, through which she was awarded sole legal and physical custody of the child.
