Agency Mission Statement:
We believe in supporting people's wishes to approach the end of life with greater sense of empowerment, comfort, and peace. To this end, we provide compassionate, professional care for: terminally ill patients and their families in their homes; people seeking support with grief and bereavement; people seeking education about end-of-life issues; and visitors experiencing a sudden death while on the Island of Hawaii.

Community Outreach and Bereavement Support: In an effort to increase community awareness of the programs and services that North Hawaii Hospice offers, this community outreach program intends to increase the number of patients that NHH cares for and to increase the number of individuals that receive bereavement support. The program intends to increase the number of bereavement support programs that are offered in the communities which NHH serves.
 
 
Client Outcome Story:  7th grade granddaughter (who was intimately involved with grandfather's care - feeding, changing depends) response to Circle of Support - all day bereavement activity:
" We heard lots of stories. They were wonderful. Thank you hospice for taking care of my papa. Thank you for releasing our tears." -Aleysha and Grama Brenda
