Turning Point for Families
Turning Point for Families, Inc.
(TPFFI), a program of Child & Family Service, is a domestic
violence agency whose mission is to provide shelter, counseling,
advocacy and education to promote a violence-free community. The agency
provides education and case management for batterer’s groups, advocacy
and support groups for battered women, a therapeutic program for
children who experience violence, a prevention and intervention program
for youth violence, outreach advocacy to rural areas, and a culturally
adapted program for both men and women.
Funded programs
- West Hawaii Spousal Abuse Shelter
The
Shelter provides emergency safe housing for battered victims and their
children. Services include: 24-hour hotline assistance, counseling,
safety and information about legal options and community referrals.

- Alternatives to Violence Youth Services Program
The
Youth Service Program provides intervention and prevention services to
youthful offenders of domestic violence. In addition, this program
provides presentations to schools island-wide and other agencies and
programs that service at-risk youth.
