Agency Mission Statement:
"The YWCA is a women's membership movement nourished by its roots in the Christian faith and sustained by the richness of many beliefs and values. Strengthened by diversity, the YWCA draws together members who strive to create opportunity for women's growth, leadership and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people. The YWCA will thrust its collective power towards the elimination of racism wherever it exsits and by any means necessary."

Funded Program:
Health Promotions and Aquatics Center: Aquatics provides opportunities for participants to select appropriate physical activities from approximately 14 distinct land and water based modalities, for persons from birth to old age. YWCA activities are available 7days/wk, early morning to evening, which is a primary factor for success fue to choice and accessability. Participants report that in addition to getting the exercise they seek, they also cite positive social interactions, personal development and fun as key factors to their participation. When individuals grow in this way, we are building together a healthier, stronger community.
